Video Ads Coming to Android Apps Thanks to iVdopia

Sometimes the occassional ad banner can be bad enough. These are typically just included in the free versions of some apps. Normally you might put up with the ad banner just to save a few bucks. What if it’s a video ad that you have to put up with though?

That could be the case in the once iVdopia gets their hands on the Android apps. iVdopia is a mobile advertising platform that started on the iPhone in March 2009.

Now, while this does seem like a bad thing it can pay dividends as well. It can help bring more quality apps to the Android OS as it will give developers more incentive to create Android apps. Also, some apps that normally would have been a paid version could end up being free. The video ad would precede the app and you won’t be able to use the app until the ad has finished. This obviously can get very annoying.
