Verizon Wireless Selling Replacement Motorola Droid Battery Doors

We previously posted a free easy fix showing how to keep your Droid battery door from falling off. Many users have had success with this fix and now it looks like Verizon is trying to make a quick buck off this problem.

Verizon is selling replacement Droid battery doors on their website. The current price for these doors is $4.99 although they are out of stock. There were reports that earlier they were free but then Verizon later put a price tag on them. Before spending 5 bucks on a replacement battery door why not try the fix we posted a month ago, or put that $5 towards a cover for your phone which will keep the battery door on anyways?
