Verizon Officially Announces the Droid Incredible

Verizon has ‘officially’ announced the Droid Incredible which will be released April 29th.  Anxious customers will be able to pre-order the device on April 19th for $199 after $100 mail-in-rebate.  Just a couple days ago Verizon updated their staging site with all the details of the Droid Incredible by HTC formally the HTC Incredible.  That was quickly taken down and password protected but now it’s official.  So what can we expect from Verizon’s next Droid?

For one this Android phone sports HTC Sense something that you don’t get with the Nexus One.  It comes with the latest version of the popular UI and Verizon fans will surely love that.  It also comes pre-loaded with Android 2.1 and a new social networking feature called Friend Stream.  The Droid Incredible by HTC will run on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor so you can expect a powerful performance.  Let’s not forget about the attractive design.  This is not the Nexus One but it might just be the next best thing.
