Verizon adding tethering to the Motorola DROID in early 2010
It looks like Verizon is following in the footsteps of other carriers and will be offering tethering for the Motorola DROID. Starting in early 2010 you will be able to sign up for the Verizon Broadband Access Connect plan to use with your Android phone. $15 a month in addition to your monthly bill will get you a 5GB per month limit, the same as Verizon’s standalone data card and USB modem plans. Since AT&T does not offer tethering for the iPhone this is just another feature that Verizon is using to prove that the iPhone is not a must-have.
