Sprint users rejoice because you’ll be able to grab the HTC EVO 4G on June 4th. An official release date was announced by Sprint along with the price point of $199 after $100 mail-in-rebate. The HTC EVO 4G has been a hot topic in the Android community because of its 4G capabilities and two built-in cameras. It will also feature an HDTV out function that lets you upload videos to your HDTV. Other features include a handy kickstand for easy video viewing, Adobe Flash support and a high powered 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
While the HTC EVO 4G has everything you ask for in an Android phone it won’t come cheap. Sprint users who buy the phone will be required to pay a mandatory $10 premium data plan upgrade. This new fee is directly related to the 4G capabilities of the phone. You’ll be required to pay this even if your area isn’t 4G ready yet. You can also decide to use the HTC EVO 4G as a wireless hotspot but if you would like to add this great feature it will cost $30 extra a month. Find out more about the Sprint HTC EVO 4G here.
