    Dear friend,
    To backup SMS is now simple.We require an Android device,a Gmail account and free SMS backup+ app available on Google play store.
    gmail.jpg
    First log on to Gmail account on your computer-------------->
    Go to Settings--------------------------------------------->
    Open Forwarding and POP/IMAP---------------------------->
    IMAP.jpg
    Check Enable IMAP---------------------------------------->
    Scroll down and save------------------------------------->
    This is the only configuration required for Gmail.
    2012_05_01_150040.jpg
    Now download SMS Backup+ from------------------------>
    Google play store and install.
    Screenshot_2012_11_10_23_09_31.jpg
    Open SMS Backup+ app--------------------------------->
    Tap to connect your Gmail account.Tap connect
    Screenshot_2012_11_10_23_09_59.jpg
    Now a browser will open & you will be-------------------->
    prompted to login to Gmail account.Just log in.
    2012_05_01_150735.jpg
    After you login you are required to authorize------------->
    SMS Backup+. Click on Grant access
    Screenshot_2012_11_10_23_13_16.jpg
    Now you will be prompted that Backup or skip all--------->
    messages currently stored on this device.Select backup
    Screenshot_2012_11_10_23_13_56.jpg
    Now the backup process will progress depending
    on messages stored in your device.Log on to gmail account and you will see a new lable in the sidebar below inbox "SMS"
    Click on SMS lable and you will find all the backup SMS there.
    Screenshot_2012_11_10_23_14_34.jpg
    Now same way you can restore your backup SMS to new device
    with the help of SMS Backup+. Just need to connect your Gmail account and press Restore.
    Hope i helped.
    Regards,
    Arvind

    PLEASE only advice to someone when you know what are you talking about...
    Your advice does NOT make any sense. It does NOT copy and transfer text messages.
    So you know.
    Thanks for trying though.

    ================================================

    Hi,

    See,I will suggest you to create a memo of all the messages.
    By doing so,you'll be creating a common file of all the messages that are present in your phone.
    Now all you need to do is to connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable.
    Then transfer this memo from the phone to your computer.
    That's it!

    Bye!

    My dear friend you say that you have Samsung galaxy s2 and a computer.Well i think that it's enough for saving the old messages from your phone to your laptop or computer.And then here is how you can use your phone to transfer messages,,,

    1.. First of all install the Samsung kies software on your PC.

    2.. then take a USB cable.

    3.. And then connect your phone with the PC with the help of USB cable.

    4.. Then launch the kies software on PC.

    5.. After that you should go to the option or Icon of Messages there.

    6.. And Then you will see the inbox option.

    7.. Go to that an you will see your messages there.

    8.. and using the save option you can store those messages.

    Good luck!!!
