Please check first whether the images which you are trying to delete are hosted online or saved locally.What happens that Gallery app showcases all images from local as well as synced contents from Facebook or online storage service like Picasa Web Albums.So if the images stored in gallery and folder having picasa logo can only be removed online and can not be deleted in phone gallery.If the above is not the issue then do the following:
Go to Settings---------------->
Applications------------------>
Manage applications---------->
Select All tab---------------->
Find Gallery------------------>
Open Gallery----------------->
Clear Data/Cache------------>
Now restart your device.Now the issue should be resolved.

Go to the main menu and then go to the gallery. From there select which photo you want to delete and then select multiple option to delete more than 1 photo and then press delete option, it will clear your gallery photos...

1.Go to Gallery-->Tap on the photo-->It will show a recycle icon...Click on that to delete the photo
2.But you are saying that your Gallery app not responding.So it might be a software problem
-->Remove the SD card
-->Connect it with your PC
-->Locate the photos in your SD card
-->Selete the photos
-->Delete it3.Your Gallery app may get corrupted..Download some other gallery apps from the android market such as4.Factory reset will make your default Gallery to work again normal
- Photo Gallery(Fish Bowl)
- Gallery Organizer
- Photo Album Orgainzer
To do that
-->Go to "Menu"-->"Settings"
-->Tap "Privacy"
-->Tap "Factory Data Reset"
-->"Reset phone"

1.Try to remove SDcard and then reinsert it in your phone.
2.If not do the Factory reset of your phone.
3.Then also if you are not able to delete the photos then go to 'All files' option.
4.Now search and tap on the option of DCIM there you will see some options now select the photos.
5.Now tap on the menu option and tap on delete option and you can delete the photos in bulk.

I had too many photos from music art to delete directly on the phone and it would take too long to select and unselect all the photos on the phone.
so I connected to my pc,
went to the DCIM, camera folder,
copied all the folders and photos I wanted to keep to my pc.
then I disconnected my phone from the pc,
went to the gallery on my phone
clicked down and help on a photo
chose "select all"
delete
the music art still shows up when I use my music app which is the only place I want it
then reconnected to phone
moved all photos I wanted back into the dcim/camera folder
I arranged by folder- all folders will show up as a group of photos on the gallery even if they are inside another folder

To delete the photo from Gallery first of all unlock your device after that locate the menu app & open.Once done then tap on Gallery app to open,a new window appear under that tap & hold on that picture which you want to delete.Below a pop up appear under that tap on Delete.Once done a pop up appear there tap on Confirm Deletions.After that photo will be deleted from your device.You can also delete multiple pictures for that when tap & hold on any picture a check box will appear near by all the photos simply tap on those pics which you want to delete.Once done tap on delete & then tap on Confirm deletion.
