    Re: Getting ‘Parse Error’ when trying to install Android App

    Dear friend,
    If Android app is stanalone .Apk file then might have got corrupted and producing "Parse Error".Try to download latest version and install will solve the issue.But if you are trying to download and install an app from Google play store and facing this error then please try this:
    Go to settings------------------->
    Applications--------------------->
    Check mark Unknown sources----->
    Manage applications------------->
    Select all tab------------------->
    Scroll down to Google play store-------->
    Open Google play store---------->
    Clear data/cache--------------->
    Reboot device
    .Now try to install app via play store and issue would be resolved.
    Regards,
    Arvind

    The app might have got corrupted and thus producing error message,to resolve this issue you need scan for virus then try,if not then clear the caches present in internal memory by
    settings->applications->manage applications->all tab->play store->clear cache
    now try installing application from google play store

    Re: Getting ‘Parse Error’ when trying to install Android App

    Hi friend,

    1.Parse error has nothing to do with unknown sources enabling..If unknown sources box is unchecked and you must enable it...To do that go to Menu-->Settings-->Applications-->Enable the Unknown sources

    2.Sometimes the Parse error occurs if the apk is corrupted or not fully downloaded or it is not supported on your current android version.
    If the app is compatible and still showing parse error,then redownload it.. Because the app may get corrupted

    Thank you!!!

    Re: Getting ‘Parse Error’ when trying to install Android App

    My dear friend, you are saying that you are having an error during parsing of applications while on the android phone.Further you are also saying that the applications were getting installed nicely and without any error before but now they are showing this error again and again.Well i think that your phone's settings have been altered somehow and now you are unable to install new apps due to that reason.
    So what i am suggesting you here is that you perform a factory data reset here and then you will have default settings back on your phone and you will be not get the parsing error again.But first you should backup your data.For that you need to go to the Settings of your phone and then you should hit the Privacy settings option.There you will see the option of Create Backup.You have to tap on that and after that you can restore your phone.
    Good luck!!!

    Re: Getting ‘Parse Error’ when trying to install Android App

    FIXED FOR ME: On Samsung Galaxy S3
    Parser Error

    This assumes that the setting for allowing 3rd party (non-Google) apps is allowed.

    Along with this setting, for allowing unknown sources to install...
    There's one more setting.

    In my apps section, there's an app "Google Settings".
    It's a green icon with letter g*

    There's an option in there.. "Verify Settings".
    Go to that option and 'unselect" it.

    THAT'S IT!!!

    Hope it helps.

    Re: Getting ‘Parse Error’ when trying to install Android App

    Hi............,

    This is the problem with the play store only.
    You need to redownload the play store in device.
    Once it is downloaded you can use the service.

    ** Pase can not be done until you have correct google settings.
    ** You can also do the factory reset for such a issue.
    ** This will also set the Google play store correctly.
    ** Use security center to have the factory reset.
    ** For hard reset you need to reboot your device.
    ** Now press and hold volume up key + home key.

    Thanks

    hello sir,

    i think that first of all you simply have to clear the cache of the apps that gave \you the current installing problem.
