I am trying to update the flash player to the latest but whenever I try to update it just fails because of some reason. Why is that? Is the flash support taken out from Android 4.2 version? Can you please give me more details regarding this and steps to overcome this problem?

As described by you that the Adobe Flash player in not upgrading and update just fails when you try to update from Google play store.Also you have mention in the post that your Android device Current Android version is 4.2.Adobe has stopped developing Flash player after 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and now they are developing Html5.So Jelly Bean Android OS is left out from an updated Adobe Flash player.

You can restart your device and after resetting your device settings .

delete the present app and download new version app and install it.

This may be due to corruption of you can remove it. and install the latest flash player from store.

May be the flash player that you are is not compatible with the Android 4.2 version..So please uninstall the old flash player you have..Go to google play store or android market and search for the flash player...Download and install the flash player you want...Its the better way to solve this issue...

Adobe doesnt officially Android from versions 4.1.
So you wont be able to install flash player on you device which runs 4.2.

My dear friend if you are unable to update the flash player directly from your phone then here is what you should do in this case.first just uninstall the flash player from your phone.then download the latest version of the flash player on your or someone else's pc from play store.after that connect your phone with that pc using usb cable.and then install the flash from in your phone from that pc.you will not get any problem.
