Android OS eating up data in my Samsung Galaxy S3

I have just bought the new Samsung Galaxy S3 which is really good and I have enabled the 3G plan in it the problem now is it is just one day since I enabled the 3G service and I have not even opened the browser but it as consumed 65MB of data. Why it is like this? If it goes like this then I will end up spending all money there itself. So can you please tell me what should I do to fix this?

    dear friend

yes android os always eating up data in any mobile . If your data access is always on then it always consumes data . It also consumes battery.

So after using internet in your mobile you can turn off your data access . It can stops the data usage & solve your problem.

After that when you want to use again then turn it on again.

You can control it through setting.

go to setting - sim management - data connection - select sim or turn off .

    all the best.............................

    With best regards from aroy8091..........................

It is happing because you might have installed apps & also keep continue the data connection even at the time when you don;t need. When internet connection is ON it activate many things & result in consuming RAM & ROM memory. You should disable the connection when don't need. Also install Task Killer app from Google Play Store. This app will kill those apps which are running redundant. So,to disable/enable data connection use this method ,MENU-SETTINGS-WIRELESS & NETWORKS-MOBILE NETWORKS-DATA PACKET-TAP TO DISABLE/TAP TO ENABLE.Install Task killer so that your device run smoothly.

1.Yes, android OS eats up data if it is enabled when not in use also.

2.Android has a function of running background applications.

3.When the phone s in use or not in use that is phone in Idle also it consumes data and as well as the battery.

4.In order to solve your problem you need to disable the data connection when not in use.

5.Firstly go to main menu of your phone.

6.Now tap on the 'Settings' option.

7.Now tap on the option of 'Wireless and Network Settings' option.

8.Now tap on the 'Mobile Network' option.

9.Now you will see some options in the menu.

10.Now uncheck the option for 'Use Packed Data connection'.

11.That's it your problem will be solved and if you want to connect the data connection then enable the option of 'Use packed data'.

    I have the same problem,

The problem is not turning the data connection on or off, the problem is when the data connection is enabled and you surf the web use apps etc, Android os uses huge amounts of data - more than the actual app you are using..

The application which requirs data connection are eating up data from the Data pack...
You may solve the problem easily..
    For this:
*GO to connection and disable the connection profile..

*Or active the profile which is free/ not availible at that moment..

    thank u..

I think the problem is because you have some unused applications you need to uninstall them which are not in use, also because of ram memory full it causes these type of problems, also check your internet connection,as if it is in connected even if it is not use then it causes these type of problems
