App Review – Robo Defense

Who loves tower defense games? If you do, you have to check out Robo Defense by Lupis Labs. This is by far the best tower defense I have played yet for Android. There is a free demo version and a paid version for $2.99.  The paid version gives you:- 2 new maps
- Unlimited reward upgrades
- Unlimited difficulty levels
- The ability to get achievements like “Score 1,000,000 points in one game”. These achievements are not technically locked in the free version, but the difficulty level cap makes them inaccessible.

Robo Defense has 3 different maps (only 1 in the demo), each one more difficult than the previous,and 40 different levels of difficulty. This equates to 120 different levels of difficulty for your tower D fetish. The most basic map has one opening and one exit. Another map has three openings along with three on the other side and the top, which makes your strategy much more difficult.

One of the great features of the game is the reward point system which allows you to buy upgrades to increase damage for rockets, increase reload time, increase fire duration, etc. This is extremely important if you plan on completing the harder levels of difficulty. Towers can be upgraded and modified. Guns can be changed into anti-aircraft cannons, which can then themselves be upgraded. Rocket systems can be upgraded to surface to air missles (SAMs). Each modified tower can then be upgraded.

The most interesting concept is the achievements that you can accomplish. There are tons of achievements, varying from easy to rather difficult. Some of the achievements include: Complete any map on a level 5 difficulty, Complete the basic map 5 times, Complete any map without building a rocket tower, Complete any map building no more than 12 towers. This is just starting to scratch the surface of the achievements available for you to tackle.

Robo Defense gives you multiple maps, along with more than enough levels. There are many many upgrades to choose from and more than enough achievements to strive for. With all of these features this game will keep you occupied for way too long. This game is a must download.
