APNdroid 2.0 Automatically Saves Your Battery

APNdroid 2.0 is a great, simplistic app that helps to save the battery life of your Android phone. How does it work? It turns off your data usage (EDGE/3G) usage by changing your Access Point Names (APN – hence the app name). This leaves you with basic voice and call capabilities of a standard cellphone. Of course you won’t be able to check your email or get on the web but it can drastically save your battery life. So if you know you wont need data for a bit you can use this app to make the most out of your battery.
APNdroid 2.0 is a free app and is available in the Android Market. This release offers a home screen widget that toggles your data usage on or off which the touch of a button. There is also a Locale plugin to automate when to turn off your data based on a location, time, battery state or other conditions.
